Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is rising among youth due to increased rates of obesity, poor diet, and sedentary lifestyles. High consumption of sugary drinks and processed foods, combined with lack of physical activity, contributes to fat accumulation in the liver. Additionally, genetic factors and metabolic conditions like insulin resistance also play a role in the growing prevalence of NAFLD in younger populations.
