The swift retaliation forced the terrorists to seek refuge in a nearby house. Captain Singh's team then cordoned the house. The terrorists again attempted to escape by lobbing grenades and firing indiscriminately. Captain Singh sensed danger to the lives of civilians and his team and displayed steely nerves in an act of conspicuous bravery. A Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) team comprising its vice-president Rajiv Shukla and secretary Jai Shah on Wednesday visited the Ganjari area in Varanasi, the site earmarked for the new Rs 300 crore state-of-the-art cricket stadium, reports Rajeev Dikshit.
