Nirjala Ekadashi is considered as one of the most sacred Ekadashis. Nirjala Ekadashi Parana is being performed on Dwadashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha in Jyeshtha month i.e., June 19, 2024.

Nirjala Ekadashi Parana 2024: Significance
Nirjala Ekadashi holds an immense religious and spiritual significance in Hindu Religion.
This day is considered as the most auspicious day, when Lord Vishnu devotees observe strict fast and abstain from food and water from Ekadashi Tithi to Dwadashi Tithi Parana Time. They spend their day offering prayers to Lord Vishnu, chanting various Vedic Mantras dedicated to Shri Hari and performing other religious puja rituals.

Nirjala Ekadashi is considered as one of the most auspicious Ekadashi. People break their fast on Dwadashi Tithi during the early morning time which is known as Parana Time. Breaking fast during the parana time is one of the main thing in Ekadashi fast. In case Parana Time is missed then it has to be broken during Madhyahna time.
Nirjala Ekadashi Parana 2024: Rituals
1. Most of the devotees stay awake all night doing bhajan and kirtan and chanting mantras.
2. Then during Brahma Muhurat, wake up early in the morning.
3. Clean the house and puja room.
4. Take a wooden plank and place an idol of Lord Vishnu.
5. Light a diya with desi ghee, offer yellow colour garland and offer prepared home made bhog prasad such as panchamrit, sweets, fruits (melons, water melons, mangos) and Tulsi Patra, which is most important. Offer raw milk, sharbat (rose), hand fans, yellow colour clothes to Lord Vishnu.
6. Chant "Om Namo Bhagvate Vaduevaye" 108 times and recite Vishnu Sahasranama.
7. Visit temple and give all these items to Brahmins or priest.
8. Devotees can break their fast and have water and eat satvik food.
