Samantha Ruth Prabhu is set to widen her horizon as an actor, and reports suggest that the star is set to make her debut in Malayalam cinema! According to a report by Movie Tamil, Samantha will be debuting in Mollywood with an upcoming film starring Mammootty. She will be reportedly playing the leading lady opposite Mammootty.
The yet-to-be-titled film is touted to be an action thriller.The Mammootty-Samantha starrer will be reportedly helmed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. Samantha is said to begin the shoot on June 15 in Chennai, while Mammootty will be joining the sets on June 20.
Meanwhile, Mammootty and Samantha Ruth Prabhu had earlier teamed up for an ad and it grabbed the eyeballs for all the right reasons.

On the work front, Samantha was recently seen in ‘Kushi’ opposite Vijay Deverakond. The film received mixed reviews from the audience and minted over Rs 70 crore at the box office.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be next seen in the Indian version of ‘ Citadel: Honey Bunny’. She will star alongside Varun Dhawan. Helmed by Raj and DK, ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ has a riveting narrative that fuses the pulse-pounding elements of a gritty spy action thriller with the heartwarming allure of a love story, all set against the vibrant backdrop of the 90s.
Samantha also has ‘Bangaram’ in which she will essay a strong character. The first glimpse of the film has made quite an impression on the cinephiles.
Mammootty on the other hand, was last seen in ‘Turbo’.
