BTS' V was recently spotted in a black military uniform, patrolling with his squad in Chuncheon for the 2024 Veterans Culture Festival. This all-black uniform is reportedly reserved for the elite soldiers belonging to the anti-terrorism unit Special Duty Team (SDT).
A black cap, dark shades and walkie-talkies were also part of his official attire. As videos and pictures of Kim Taehyung emerged on the internet from the event, fans couldn't stop raving about his buffed up military look.

At the event, V was observed engaging in conversation with senior singer Lee Ji Young. He apparently initiated the interaction by introducing himself to the senior singer and she seemed visibly pleased to meet her. After a short conversation, he bid her farewell with a salute.
On June 12, Jin will be discharged from duty, becoming the first member from the band to complete his mandatory military service. All the other members have reportedly applied for leave to gather for a private celebration for Jin. Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook had reportedly applied for leave to reunite for a private celebration of Jin's military discharge in Seoul. However, their agency, BIGHIT MUSIC has refused to confirm or deny the same. Jin will also not have an official ceremony for his discharge for safety reasons.
Following Jin, BTS member J-Hope will be discharged from his military service. It is reported that his mandatory training will conclude in October of this year.
