Anupam Kher thanks 'wonderful people of Mumbai Police' for swiftly catching the thieves within 24 hours!

Mumbai Police swiftly caught the suspects involved in Anupam Kher's office break-in, recovering the stolen items within 24 hours. The stolen movie reel and safe were traced back to Majid Sheikh and Daler Bahreem Khan.

On June 20, Anupam Kher had revealed that his Veera Desai Road office had been broken into and an entire safe, along with a negative of his movie had been stolen. He had filed an FIR and Mumbai Police had swiftly jumped into action and traced the suspects in 24 hours. In addition to cash and other items, the thieves had stolen a negative of Anupam Kher's film 'Maine Gandhi ko Nahi Mara'.
Police have since recovered the negative.

Thanking the cops for their swift action, Anupam Kher shared on Instagram, "My heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the Mumbai Police for catching both the thieves who ransacked my office, stole my safe and the negative of #MaineGandhiKoNaiMara. The fact that it was done within 48 hours speaks of their amazing efficiency!! Jai Ho! (Folded hands, heart eyes and National Flag emojis)." While the caption with the post read, "THANK YOU!! (Folded hands and heart eyes emojis) @mumbaipolice @cpmumbaipolice."
According to PTI, Majid Sheikh and Daler Bahreem Khan were arrested from the Jogeshwari area on Friday night for their involvement in the crime. In an update, the Mumbai Police had shared, "Investigating the complaint of burglary in Azad Nagar, Amboli Pstn officials using technical investigation methods, traced the two suspects within 24 hours. The investigating team also recovered the stolen property, which included a movie reel, cash and an iron vault."
