Kangana Ranaut slapped due to nefarious divisive agenda and hate for farmers: Punjab Congress MLA
NEW DELHI: Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut's allegation that she was slapped by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) woman constable, after a security check, at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Chandigarh on Thursday, has snowballed into a major controversy.
The newly elected MP from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi was confronted by the constable, identified as Kulwinder Kaur, over her remarks on women participating in the ongoing farmers’ protests.

Punjab Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira condemned the incident but accused Kangana of wrongly portraying her slap with the revival of terrorism in the state.
“I never support any kind of violence, but she was slapped by ITBP personnel due to her own nefarious divisive agenda and her hate for farmers... She’s trying to portray her slap with the revival of terrorism in Punjab... She should now realize she’s an MP and must control her tongue,” Khaira wrote on X.
Condemning the incident, former Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar said, “The job of security agencies is to provide security. They should not have anything to do with people’s sentiments. It is a matter of indiscipline.”
The constable was suspended, and an FIR was also lodged against her.
