American Red Cross Blood Drive
Tuesday, June 25 from 10 AM – 4 PM
Every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood and or platelets. A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 units of blood. Many cancer patients will need blood, sometimes daily, during their chemotherapy treatment. Blood and platelets cannot be manufactured; they can only come from volunteer donors. One donation can help save more than one life.
To schedule an appointment at NDL’s Blood Drive, visit this link:

Choose from any available appointment time. Walk-ins are also welcome, but appointments are given priority. First-time donors are welcome. Bring a friend!
Tips before donating blood:
- Bring photo ID and your donor card, if you have one.
- Bring a list of your prescription and over-the-counter medications.
- Get a good night’s sleep the night before.
- Drink extra fluids, especially water.
- Eat iron-rich foods the day before and day of your donation, such as red meat, fish, poultry, beans, and spinach.
- Wear a shirt with sleeves that you can roll up above your elbows.
- Bring a book to read while you donate – or check one out from the Library, we’ve got lots!
