Dave Grohl Reunites With Krist Novoselic At Kerry Rally

Ex-Nirvana members appear with Blink-182's Tom DeLonge in Vegas.

While the presidential race may be dividing the country, it's helped to reunite former Nirvana bandmates Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, who made their first public appearance together in more than a decade at a rally to support John Kerry.

On Tuesday night they joined Blink-182's Tom DeLonge, "The West Wing" actress Melissa Fitzgerald and Kerry's stepson Chris Heinz at Las Vegas' Early Vote Rally to kick off a 10-day national bus tour.

The celebrity attendees pulled into the parking lot of the Stardust Hotel & Casino to the tune of Bruce Springsteen's "No Surrender." Each had a chance to speak to Kerry's merits as a candidate during the evening rally, and despite the on-and-off rain, a large crowd waving Kerry/Edwards signs stuck around to hear the speeches and a performance by Grohl's Foo Fighters.

"They say that public speaking is the #1 fear of all Americans," Fitzgerald said, "that we fear it even more than death. But there's one thing I fear more than public speaking, and that's four more years of George W. Bush."

Following the rally, the bus tour began its trip to Colorado for a series of events across the state. From there, Heinz will be joined by celebrities and musicians as the bus travels to 10 swing states in an effort to rally Kerry supporters.
