PANORAMA and International Day for Biodiversity: Promoting solutions for implementing the Biodiversity Plan
As we celebrate the International Day for Biodiversity (IDB) on May 22nd, it is crucial to focus on the many solutions that practitioners are spearheading on the ground, and that can be replicated to achieve global conservation goals. In alignment with the theme of IDB 2024, "Be part of the Plan", we explore how the PANORAMA – Solutions for a Healthy Planet initiative supports the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), or “the Biodiversity Plan” for short.

The PANORAMA initiative proudly unveils its revamped web platform, designed to foster streamlined knowledge discovery, enhance inclusivity, and deepen peer connectivity. The relaunch supports the initiative’s mission to document and promote replicable solutions across diverse thematic areas such as restoration, climate change adaptation and species conservation, providing practical solutions to move towards a healthier planet.
Launched in September 2021, the IUCN Academy harnesses IUCN expertise to propose learning journeys to those seeking to make a meaningful contribution to the dynamic world of conservation.
