DELTA KAPPA ALPHA The national honorary fraternity for Cinema students, Delta Kappa Alpha, was established at use in 1937. There are currently five national chapters with a membership of over 1500. Furthering the art of cinema as well as promoting better relations between the members and the theatrical and documentary industries are the primary purposes of the organization. Well known for its popular Friday Evening Film Showings, DKA this year also had a Saturday night film series and, during the second semester, a Wednesday night series devoted to the westerns. Between semesters in February, DKA held its annual honorary awards banquet in Town and Gown dining hall. Actress Rosalind Russell and film directors Norman Tauroa and Robert Wise were given their honorary membership into the fraternity by Dr. Norman Topping in front of a gathering of over 500 celebrities and notables from the motion picture industry. This year ' s officers for the 36 member Alpha chapter were-. President Howard Ka- zanjian. Vice President David Spaid, Secretary Mustapha Hijaouy, and Treasurer Dennis Gallinq.
