Sia Sails to Seventh No. 1 on Dance Club Songs With ‘Move Your Body’

Sia soars 3-1 on Billboard‘s Dance Club Songs chart (dated Feb. 11) with “Move Your Body,” her seventh leader on the list.

The singer-songwriter, who first hit the chart with “The Girl You Lost to Cocaine” (No. 8, 2008), has scored at least one No. 1 each year since 2014. Dating to her first topper, “Wild One Two” (billed as by Jack Back featuring David Guetta, Nicky Romero and Sia), on May 5, 2012, only three acts have attained more No. 1s: Rihanna (11), Dave Aude (nine) and Katy Perry (eight). Remixes from Alan Walker, House of Labs and David Harry, among others, helped “Move” do just that to the summit.

Also on the Club chart, LeAnn Rimes rises 11-6 with “Long Live Love,” her fourth top 10, and first since “What I Cannot Change” became her first (and, so far, only) No. 1 in 2009. The song is from her album Remnants, due tomorrow (Feb. 3). Plus, Britney Spears adds her 16th top 10 as “Slumber Party,” featuring Tinashe (who earns her third), jumps 13-10.

Meanwhile, A Flock of Seagulls land their first appearance on a Billboard chart since 1984, as “Ageless Prince,” with Jimmy D. Robinson, enters Dance Club Songs at No. 48. The act notched four entries on the ranking in 1981-84, led by its No. 8-peaking New Wave classic “I Ran (So Far Away).” “Prince” is the first single from the forthcoming Robinson/Seagulls’ album Living in Time, which will feature Robinson’s published poetry merged with music.

TYCHO TRAVELS: On Top Dance/Electronic Albums, Tycho – aka founder Scott Hansen, guitarist Zac Brown (no, not that Zac Brown) and drummer Rory O’Connor – jumps 22-3 with Epoch. The third in a trilogy, following 2011’s Dive and 2014’s Awake, debuted at No. 1 on Oct. 22 with 6,000 (digital-only) copies sold, according to Nielsen Music. On the now consumption-based chart, Epoch boasts 5,000 equivalent album units, with 4,000 from traditional album sales, following its Jan. 20 release as a physical product. The set, nominated for best dance/electronic album at the Grammy Awards (Feb. 12), rules the exclusively sales-based Dance/Electronic Album Sales chart (up 2,455 percent).

SHEERAN, RIHANNA ROAR: Shifting to Dance/Mix Show Airplay, Ed Sheeran surges 13-7 with “Shape of You.” Among six entries on the chart dating to his first, “Sing” (No. 23, 2014), Sheeran has now scored three top 10s. “Shape” follows “Don’t” (No. 4, 2014) and “Thinking Out Loud” (No. 7, 2015).

Plus, Rihanna rolls 12-9 on Dance/Mix Show Airplay with “Love on the Brain,” her 23rd top 10, breaking her out of a tie with David Guetta for the most top 10s since the chart’s 2003 launch. Kaskade ranks third with 14 top 10s, followed by Calvin Harris, Katy Perry and Britney Spears, each with 13.
