Lukas Graham’s ‘7 Years’ Climbs to Australia’s Chart Summit

Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” has made an improbable leap to the summit of Australia’s singles chart.
The Danish soul pop group’s track rises 20-1 in its second week on the ARIA Singles Chart, knocking last week’s champion, Flume featuring Kai’s “Never Be Like You”, into second position.
Zayn’s former chart leader “Pillowtalk” slips 2-3, though the former One Direction singer retains the crown on ARIA’s Streaming Tracks chart. Twenty One Pilots’ “Stressed Out” drops 3-4 on the ARIA Singles Chart and Charlie Puth’s “One Call Away” is down 4-5.
Flume Knocks Zayn Malik from Summit of Australia’s Singles Chart
Other top climbers this week include Flo Rida’s “My House,” which improves 15-7 in its fourth week in the top 50. It’s Flo Rida’s 11th top 10 single Down Under and the first since “Can’t Believe It” reached No. 7 in September 2013.
Homegrown hip hop trio Hilltop Hoods also cracks the top 10 with “1955,” featuring Montaigne & Tom Thum, which rises 25-9 to give the group its fifth top 10 single.
Australian musical funnyman Tim Minchin just misses a top 10 debut with his satirical track “Come Home (Cardinal Pell),” which raises funds to help pay for abuse victims to travel to the Vatican. It’s new at No. 11.
Meanwhile, the Molly soundtrack for the domestic two-part TV series on the life and career of former Countdown host Ian “Molly” Meldrum continues at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, while’s Adele eight-times platinum certified 25 is again at No. 2.
Rounding out the top five albums is Nothing Has Changed (The Best Of David Bowie), which holds at No. 3; The Jezabels’ Synthia is new at No. 4 and Justin Bieber’s Purpose drops 4-5.

Ronan Keating just misses a top 5 berth with Time Of My Life, his tenth solo album which starts at No. 6 It’s the Irish singer’s first appearance on the chart since Fires peaked at No. 12 in September 2012, and his first spot inside the top 10 since When Ronan Met Burt reached No. 3 in May 2011.
