In pictures: Tunisia's lingering unrest
-
Three days after President Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali fled, Tunisia is still gripped by protests and unrest.
-
The day began with more clashes between protesters and police, who once again used tear gas to restore order.
-
Worries about the economy grew, with Tunisians queuing to buy basic food, and officials tried to persuade people to go back to work.
-
By the end of the day, Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi had announced a new unity government.
-
Politicians will be hoping the new administration will calm the tension, but many of its senior members are from the old regime.
-
Protesters continued to demand that Mr Ben Ali face justice, and said no-one who served with him should be included in the new administration.
-
Meanwhile, government workers continued to remove the once-ubiquitous portraits of the former president.
