University of Virginia Final Exercises miscellany, 1906-1950

The collection contains invitations, newsclippings, and bulletins about final exercises and graduation at the University of Virginia. Clippings pertain to the 1933 ceremonies at which Governor John G. Pollard spoke. The collection also contains a broadside, 1898, advertising special Chesapeake and Ohio excursion fares to the finals and dedication of new buildings at the University, detailed instructions, ante 1947, for the [grand marshall?], perhaps written by one marshall for his successor, and an invitation to the unveiling and presentation of the statue of Thomas Jefferson on the North Front of the Rotunda, which President Alderman would accept in the presence of a distiguished company including the sculptor Sir Moses Ezekiel
