Large format view of the San Francisco commercial buildings housing N.P. Cole & Co. furniture at 310-314 Pine Street. Crates being loaded in the street are addressed to Gen. Jefferson C. Davis, Sitka. Davis was the first commanding officer for the U.S. Army in Alaska following its 1867 purchase by the United States. On the building, a sign for the Pacific Neck Tie Factory is also prominent
