Hahn, 3 other Americans earn 2014 Euro Tour cards

John Hahn and three other Americans locked up 2014 European Tour cards Friday.

Hahn tied for fifth at the final stage of the European Tour Qualifying Tournament at PGA Catalunya Resort in Girona, Spain. The former Kent State standout finished at 13 under, 13 shots back of medalist Carlos del Moral of Spain, who won the six-round event by five shots over Fabrizio Zanotti of Paraguay.

The other Americans who will be joining Hahn on the European Tour next season are Connor Arendell (12 under), who played at Central Florida; Brinson Paolini (11 under), a former Duke player; and Jason Knutzon (9 under), a former Iowa State player and two-time winner on the Asian Tour.

In all, 27 players earned tour cards, including Belgian Thomas Pieters, the 2012 NCAA champion out of Illinois, and Irishman Kevin Phelan, a former North Florida player who, like Hahn, competed at this year’s U.S. Open.
