The singer Seungri (29, Lee Seung-hyun), suspected of offering sex services to lobby potential investors, will also be charged with violating the Food Sanitation Act, for running a bar after reporting it as a general restaurant. Authorities have also confirmed that Choi Jong-hoon (29), a member of the band FT Island, tried to avoid an arrest in exchange for two million won when he was caught for driving under the influence in 2016. The singer, Jung Joon-young (30) was arrested for illegally shooting and distributing videos.

The regional investigation unit at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that the unit summoned and questioned Seungri on the afternoon of March 21. According to the police, Seungri is suspected of illegally operating Monkey Museum, a club-style bar, which he opened along with Yoo, CEO of Yuri Holdings, in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in July 2016, as a bar while reporting it to authorities as a general restaurant. Seungri's business partner, Yoo was also questioned on the same charges. This is the first time that a charge irrelevant to the allegations of sex-for-investment was applied to Seungri.

Investigators confirmed that Choi, who was suspected of solicitation to prevent the media from releasing a report on his drunk driving charge, had actually paid approximately two million won to avoid the arrest. At a press conference this morning, a representative of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency stated that the police booked Choi for expressing intentions to pay bribes. The representative said, "We obtained a statement on the situation at the time from the police officer in charge of the case. The police officer refused the bribe."

Jung was arrested this night for capturing sex videos without the consent of his partners and sharing the videos with his acquaintances in a KakaoTalk chatroom. Im Min-seong, chief judge at the Seoul Central District Court issued the arrest warrant after considering the possible destruction of evidence and the nature of the crime.

In 2016, Jung was cleared after being accused of capturing images of women's bodies. Police lieutenant C of the Seongdong Police Station, who questioned Jung at the time, was booked for dereliction of one's duty, and Jung's lawyer, D was arrested (destruction of evidence) for submitting a document including a false statement from a forensic company stating that the contents of Jung's cellphone, used to capture and store the images of women's bodies, could not be restored.

According to the industry, the National Tax Service dispatched an investigator and launched a tax investigation of Burning Sun Entertainment this afternoon.
